YOU'VE HEARD THESE SONGS BEFORE, NOT ALL FROM 1943

The cover tracklist of this CD - and this website - credits only the singers, which seems a perverse way to market it, particularly given the quality of the accompaniments. It's true that detail is contained inside, but in miniscule font, and inaccessible until after you've purchased it. Which is a great pity, because it detracts somewhat from a generally excellent selection, albeit not confined to 1943. It could be argued that some of these songs, which were recorded in 1942, didn't chart until 1943, but I'm mystified why "It Could Happen to You" has been included, because it wasn't published until 1944! Despite all that, sound quality is excellent, and this is warmly recommended.
