The first nine tracks of this compilation present her with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra during 1940-42, four of which include Frank Sinatra and the Pied Pipers. It then advances to the late forties/early fifties, and features mainly Hollywood tracks, on half of which she’s backed by vocal groups which strike me as somewhat bland. My personal preference is for the earlier material, but if you’re a Connie Haines fan this will not disappoint (although casual purchasers may be misled by the cover illustration, which looks to date from the silent movie era!)
INCLUDES TOMMY DORSEY & FRANK SINATRA
